Day 59 - From Rosetti to Freud

I'm getting ready for a big weekend, but before I try to slip into bed, here's what I did today!

Even with fickle weather, I managed to get a few things done around the big excursions.

In the British Museum, our class toured some rooms to supplement some Victorian era poetry to learn about the era of the Enlightenment period and how it affected the original collections of the British Museum in the 17th century.

We looked at poetry by Dante Gabriel Rosetti and John Keats as we looked at the artifacts that they looked at that inspired their pieces. Eventually, we ended our tour by seeing the Rosetta Stone!

People were crowding the Rosetta Stone when I took this.
Afterwards, some of us went to the Sigmund Freud House Museum up in North London. Even though I'm not in any psychology major or track, I still found the place fascinating mainly because of how the Freuds were famous and the charm of the little house.

Front of their house in Hampstead.

Sigmund Freud and his daughter, Anna, lived here!
Later, I took a brief trip to meet with one of my professors because I am still very much a student studying abroad. My roommate, Brie, made dinner as a treat to our host family and it was delicious!

Well, my weekend will be packed and I look forward to getting things rolling!
